It is our mission to offer hope and freedom to those bound by addiction, provide them with a safe place to recover and equip them with the resources needed to transform their lives.

Why LIT?

The U.S. has one of the highest recidivism rates in the world: 76.6% of prisoners are rearrested within five years. Drug related convictions are skyrocketing: Methamphetamine increased 17.2%; • Fentanyl3 increased 897.6%. (Source: USSC.gov)

We've found that there is a much higher success rate in breaking the cycle of addiction when there are resources available right at the individual's moment of willingness. The resources just aren’t available in most communities. We had to do something.

What does the LIT Movement do?

We offer sober housing for recovering drug addicts & alcholics. We create a climate of faith and accountability by providing both the opportunity for growth and the availability of support for success. The LIT Movement offers support to both Men and Women battling the chains of addiction at all stages of recovery.

Long-Term SOBER Housing

We differ from other sober living homes in that we provide the physical needs, mental health and spiritual development of our residents.. Our peer recovery coaches create the Community and Accountability that promotes Growth for individuals in recovery.

Short-Term Refuge (STR)

Not everyone seeking help is immediately ready for recovery housing—but that doesn't mean they don’t need support.

Our Short-Term Refuge (STR) program is designed to meet individuals right where they are—providing a bridge to treatment and recovery resources when someone is at a critical point of need. STR is not a housing program, but a rapid-response support system for individuals who may be in crisis, actively using, or simply not ready for long-term sober living.

We help assess their situation, provide immediate support, and connect them to appropriate treatment services—including detox, inpatient care, or other recovery pathways. Thanks to our established partnerships with treatment centers, we can streamline the often overwhelming process of finding and entering a program. We also assist with coordinating transportation to treatment facilities throughout the Tri-State area, ensuring that help is not just available—but accessible.

At its core, STR is about connection. When someone says “yes” to help, we make sure that help is already in motion.

Peer Recovery Coaching

The hope of a Purpose-Filled Future along with an Action-Oriented program must be incorporated into an individuals entire life to successfully achieve long lasting, complete sobriety. Our peer recovery coaches offer the hope and support for men and women in our program. We institute a spirit-filled aproach that transcends mainstream recovery programs.
